I've been paying into it for about 25 years and so far, I haven't had a bean back.

It's only four quid a month and I've never really worried about it in the past but given the fact that they've stopped paying the players now, what are the chances that if I did finally win something, the bastards would ring me up and say: "Sorry - cash flow problems at the moment, we can't pay you"?

That'd just be my luck.

So, what to do?

You could argue that the current parlous financial straits the club finds itself in are a the same as the ones that necessitated to founding of the Lifeline all those years ago, so now more than ever, the club needs my four quid a month.

But......

I just don't trust the bastards and am seriously considering cancelling my subscription.

So what should I do?

they wont care one way or the other is the sad truth breaders, the days when things like lifeline could save a club are long gone.

I used to do the Lifeline thing years ago, but gave it up when they didn't need the money, and were rolling in it ,when in the PL, etc.
I would happily join again, but I think Norpig's comment is spot on.

For the record, I bottled it.

The guy turned up on Wednesday night and I handed my money over like a robot.

Two months' worth as well.

I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

(And he's a big angry bastard from Salford and I didn't fancy upsetting him.)

Just 2 days away from being saved, so they will pay you out if they win

Forget some foreign billionaire coming in and saving the club, me actually winning something on the Lifeline would be the real miracle.....
