Rob Hall was on the scoresheet as MK Dons opened 2016 with a 1-1 draw away at Leeds United.

The winger fired Dons ahead at Stadium mk on the half-hour mark, only for a late Antony Kay own goal to cost them all three points at Elland Road.

Having signed for Peterborough United earlier in the day, Lawrie Wilson came on as a half-time substitute to make his Posh debut as they won 3-2 away at Sheffield United.

Taking the lead midway through the first half through Conor Washington, Peterborough re-took the lead shortly after the restart courtesy of Erhun Oztumer, having been pegged back by a Billy Sharp penalty.

A Jack Baldwin own goal levelled the scores once more in the 84th minute, but Peterborough were back ahead inside 60 seconds as Martin Samuelsen sealed all three points for Graham Westley's side.

Elsewhere in Sky Bet League One, Hayden White completed 90 minutes as Blackpool lost 1-0 away at league leaders Burton Albion - Mark Duffy netting the only goal.

Meanwhile in Sky Bet League Two, Oscar Threlkeld also completed 90 minutes for Plymouth Argyle as goals in each half from Ryan Brunt and former Wanderer Gregg Wylde saw them clinch a 2-0 win away at Carlisle United.

Ross Fitzsimons was also in action for Bishops Stortford as they drew 1-1 with St Albans City.
