BWFCST Statement

I promise this isn't being posted to wind up Sluffy but I just clicked on this on Twitter and my first thought was WTF.
It's basically paraphrasing what KA said in his interview, a reiteration of the fact that they asked a load of questions demanding answers to the clubs financial plans and that nothing has changed.
But more subtly they congratulated all involved in the on field performance seemingly to isolate it from off field achievements.
It is very clear to me from this there has been no olive branch held out to the club after pretty poor opening exchanges, it is clear that there is no common ground and that they still think they're entitled to all the clubs financial information without offering anything in return.

they are only doing what an ST should be doing, which is ask relevant questions and the one about extra investment is a valid question

Whether KA or anyone at the club takes a blind bit of notice of the ST is another question entirely, they are kind of redundant at the moment with everything ticking along nicely

And on that basis then they should be looking to work with them for the good of the club, but the tone of this shows they have no intention of trying to.
The whole statement can do nothing but harm in my opinion, people talk about the ST getting a seat on the board.
Would you give these fucking idiots a seat on the board after they've done nothing but undermine them. This in my opinion does their members a great disservice because it makes it even less likely the club will look to involve them.
So they've effectively made themselves a shark circling for blood to exploit.

Nothing wrong with the content of the statement although the ST has some way to go to figure out how best to engage with the new owners.

I just think the overall tone is wrong, to me it just look is like they're saying that they're waiting for the owners to fuck up and almost willing them to.
They haven't done anything to warrant the respect,trust and information they're demanding in my opinion.
I've always been taught you earn trust and respect, what have they done in that respect.
If they want to do right by the members they should be getting involved with the owners now but they're not they are trying to police them.
The owners have done more to earn the fans trust than the ST has.

I understand what you're saying but I was genuinely angry when I saw it. They've learned nothing, I believe in the position we've come from a trust is a great shout but these people have no idea.

Correct, it's a mundane repetition of what has already been said by the club officially.

Highlight what part of that statement shows anything else.

As stated earlier it's the tone and the whole questioning of the finances. The talk of the accounts, the embargo and in the last paragraph of outside investment where they state they are not aware potential interest, why the fuck should they be.
To me the whole piece reads like they realise their stock has dropped like a brick and they're trying to beat their chests to look important.
It almost looks like they begrudge the success and the goodwill and want to try and cast doubt over it.

You nail it in your penultimate paragraph, it's a failed organisation trying to look important, but the lost it in the closing lines. There's been no evidence to say that the ST begrudge KA and by extension BWFC success, and that statement certainly doesn't say that.

I'm not a member of the Trust and I'm quite indifferent as to whether it succeeds, or collapses but to be frank I can see nothing to object to in their statement

It's the whole tone and also the timing off it which lead me to that, and I accept fully that it is just my perception of it.
In terms of the tone I've probably covered that in my earlier posts but the timing is also key for me too, because we are top of the league, despite fears we have completely revamped the squad including IMO some top acquisitions on deadline day.
Ken Anderson has come out and given what most people believe was an excellent interview highlighting exactly where we are and where he is looking to take us so suddenly people are feeling positive and getting behind the team.
My personal belief is this is ill timed and unnecessary and benefits nobody other than to serve as what I said earlier - a chest beating exercise for the failing ST.

Maybe but as I said it is my perception, but to me it seems to follow on from the theme of the ST sulking because they didn't get to play at the big boys table.
