Alex Samizadeh hungry for more after four-goal haul Samizadeh-4x3201-3305945_613x460

Alex Samizadeh was delighted to score his first goals at Macron Stadium as Bolton Wanderers Under-23s beat Queens Park Rangers on Monday night.

The 17-year-old fired four goals as the young Whites stormed to a comfortable 6-1 victory against the Hoops.

And having been awarded his first team debut against Brentford last season, the young forward is eager to keep on impressing.

“It was my first, I’m not sure what to call it, hat-trick or four-trick at this level so I’m delighted,” Samizadeh told bwfc.co.uk after the final whistle. “I think my favourite is the third one to complete the hat-trick.

“The first one was really difficult, coming inside to shoot, but I think the third one that went in the top corner is the best one.

“It feels great to get my first goal at Macron Stadium and to complete my first 90 minutes here too.”

He continued: “It wasn’t an easy game so it is a great result for us. We got the first goal through Alex Perry early on and that helped us and then I managed to double our lead.

“That gave us the confidence to keep the ball. The coaches want us to look to keep possession and that’s what we did to manage the rest of the game.

“I played under David Lee for the Under-18s last year so I know him really well. He’s a great coach and I really enjoy working with him.

“The most important thing is the team. We played really well and to get the three points is the best.”
