Packaging

Just been down to our local ASDA to get some ink cartridges,and some new ear buds,and on the way home grabbed some AA batteries from Home Bargains.
Having got my items home however,getting them out of their respective packets was another matter.
It took me 25 minutes,aided by a pair of scissors and a stanley knife to get them unpacked.
Then Amazon arrived with a delivery. A wall clock,contained within a box that could have held a small child.
The battle is over,the losers lie dead on my desk.
I'm sick of the constant battle with this stuff. Lord knows how people with a disability cope.

I know what you mean. Christmas is a bloody nightmare. The kids get about a hundred and fifty toys, all strapped down with screws and string and cable ties and all sorts of shit. That's after you've negotiated the outer packaging which can be a nightmare in itself. Three kids in my face shoving boxes in my hands demanding I open them immediately. Immediately is impossible. Takes until fucking Easter to get them all open.

ah Christmas Day and the floor covered in wrapping paper and empty boxes, i remember last years so well 

You spend half a day having to break it all down so you can recycle it, but that takes forever as the bins only get emptied once a fortnight and they are always full

I often have that kind of trouble with a packet of biscuits.

'Tear here' never works. I end up chopping them in half with a knife.

I reckon that's deliberate so you can't seal them properly so they go soft and you buy more.
Use a biscuit tin and foil their fiendish plan.

Good point.

I'm still battling. I'm sure they package food now with the intent of starving older people to death.

Had to sort my 88 year old mum out today because she was struggling to open a packet of Chorley cakes.
She went to the local shop and bought a pair of scissors,in order to gain entry to her favourite tea break snack,but then couldn't open the packet the scissors were in.

And don't get her started on ring pulls on tins of soup.

Ever thought about getting one of those electric can openers?

I bought her a sandwich toaster,and she fried eggs in it.

Old boy cut his throat opening a ring pull on a soup can. The one that pisses me off is the big plastic vitamin pill container that is only a third full why don't they make it a third size so it's full or better still fill the fucking thing up with pills.

My friend sent me this today. He ordered some batteries off amazon, and this is what they came in. 

Ordered a watch battery on amazon. It's just arrived.
