I think left back has been a problem position for us for a while.  We even moved a left winger (Gardner) to left back and even more outside the box was moving Pederson to left back.  Both actually did a decent job and i would have either over moxey Smile

Campo and Hierro predominantly played CB throughout their careers but with us they say in front of the back four and both did a great job spraying balls left right and centre.

Is their anyone else anyone can think of?

Cam down, mate.

Before you know it you'll be starting a thread along the lines of "What's your favourite Haribo snack on match days" or "Have you ever seen a butterfly at the Reebok?"

It's your call and I can sort of see where you're coming from but you seriously don't need to be on a one man crusade to save Nuts.

There are plenty of people with a vested interest who are more than happy to sit back and laugh at your efforts because they are smug wankers who enjoy seeing other people do what they should have done a long time ago.

Just saying....

I like the sour cherry ones or a good old fashioned Cola Bottle.

John Mcginlay did well when he played in goal against Reading.

Never seen a butterfly at the Macron.  I like the haribo rings.

Pederson is the one I remember who played out of position and he did better than expected.

One of my earliest memories is Mark Came playing up front against Swindon in two League Cup replays. I may be wrong but he could have scored a last minute equaliser to make it 3-3.

Im not bothered if anyone is laughing at me.  I want to have varied discussions and something to pass the time that doesnt involve arguing with people on here.

I know what you mean, but im doing it for selfish reasons.  Smile

That's twice today I've been reminded of Roy Greaves - who was a striker that Jimmy Armfield moved into midfield where he settled, became club captain and led the team from the third tier back to the top flight. Greavesy went on to play more games for us than any player in our history apart from the late, great Eddie Hopkinson and he was a joy to watch.

i remember us playing a play off game and we had Mixu and Fab De Freitas playing as wingers  Very Happy. I think it was because the other team (who i can't remember) had shortarse full backs and it was a deliberate ploy

Heskey at centre half against forest season before last was classic.

Vela is doing well playing behind madine, not his usual defensive role, but you can't look past campo.
