Peterborough Utd 1-0 Bolton - Report Post #47

Listening to the Peterborough phone in on the way home they where amazed how poor we where, Most of the Bolton fans had the same opinion, however Peterborough knew exactly what to do. Their manager spoke about cutting out the service to Madine and making sure they beat clough, vela and ameobi to the second ball and they did it perfectly.

We had no plan B in the first half, however in the second half it looked like we tried to play more through midfield, thought trotter would have made way for henry and was surprised to see Thorpe off, assume it was fitness related.

The whole side performed below par, hopefully they will get a kick up the backside.

I call it the Diouf Syndrome. Ameobi looks cool so he gets away with being shit. Just as Diouf did for a couple of seasons.

If Ameobi looked like Trotter he'd be getting abuse every week.

Good synopsis Fab, no need to hit the panic button yet then ? Dust ourselves down and go again. 

Three games in seven days coming up, we'll know after that if today's result was just a blip.

Good to see Thorpe back today.

Pretty good, lots of American style diners on the A1 which sorted breakfast out on the way down did it in about 3hrs with the stop.

 Peterborough fans are a decent bunch as well was sat having a coke with a few of them, looks like they got some good young players there as well.

They played some decent stuff and looked lively going forward at times, we looked off colour (to say the least) today but shit happens at times and today we were mostly shit.

I know the game was on the telly today but all the same it was a poor gate, less than 5k and we must have taken around 1k of that.

The only plus we can take from the game is that we played like a team.Unfortunately, they were all rubbish, (apart from Wilson, who I thought was pretty good, mostly)

The OK Diner just before the Newark turning makes a mean breakfast.
