To cut a long story short,I found a wallet this morning. It contained two twenty pound notes, two Halifax young saver cards,a credit card, various store cards and the guy's driving license.
Checking the address on the card showed that he only lived ten minutes away,so I legged it round there, hoping he'd be in.
He was still in bed,but threw on a dressing gown, and came down to see what I was wanting.
He was over the moon to get his stuff back, but, and here's my problem, proceeded to give me a man hug of epic proportions.
Now,I'm not a hugger,of anyone. I don't do it. Men shouldn't do it. It's wrong.
Yet here I was,on a Warrington front doorstep,in the arms of a man I'd never met before, and feeling distinctly uncomfortable.
Are any of you huggers? Would you hug a stranger? I'm sure KP would.

I'm with you on this.

What's wrong with a good, firm hand-shake?

And I'm glad you've started this thread because it opens the door to something that I've pondered gauging opinion on on here before but always shied away from because it's a bit of an odd topic.

Mrs B's family don't see anything wrong with the male members thereof kissing each other and it makes me slightly uncomfortable.

Her brother's 36 and he still kisses his dad.

That's not normal, surely?

We've actually had a few rows over the years because his son (our nephew) has obviously grown up thinking that this is normal behaviour and still tries kissing me on the lips now, aged 15.

It's creepy and weird but it's just how they are.

I've said to Mrs B: "What's normal about me kissing a 15 year old boy on the lips?" but she can't see it and thinks I'm over reacting.

I'm not though, am I?

Good on you taking the wallet round, I would have expected it of you boncey, but there's some who wouldn't have done it. And get in touch with your sensitive side...hugs are good for you. I'm sure if Brucey offered....

I once found a phone in the park whilst walking my dog.

It was password protected so I paid £10 to have it unlocked so I could find out who owned it.

When I rang them they didn't even thank me, and subtly accused me of stealing it.

I sold it on eBay for £50.

Hugs are a natural expression of affection for loved ones or sympathy for those in distress.

However, a man clad only in his night clothes indulging in over-long bodily intimacy as an expression of gratitude might be considered very awkward, especially if you could feel his passion all too clearly through his undies, Mr. Bonce.

Nothing passionate, just uncomfortable to a non hugger.

As for kissing your relatives,I've no problem with an Aunt or Granny, but if I'd kissed my Dad he'd have sent me to the nearest psychiatrist.

Two of the youngest lads in the family have started greeting all male friends/family like this,
Man hugs. Handshake+1
which I find equally odd. A firm handshake is good enough for me.

Maybe I'm emotionally retarded. Mind you,I still blub at the end of E.T.

Nowt wrong with a good hug in my book - anyone can have one.

Kissing is strictly reserved for my Mum, sisters, godmother, and sons but certainly not on the lips. That's strictly reserved for Mrs. McD when I can take her by surprise.

Anyone ticklish?
