A tweet from Iles -

Wanderers have confirmed that head of finance, John Pelling, has left the club to join Stoke City.

Wonder what that means?

Seems a bit sudden with everything that has been going on recently unless it was always known he would be leaving at Christmas.

Confirmation of his departure...

Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Head of Finance John Pelling will take up a similar role with Premier League side Stoke City in the New Year.

Pelling arrived at Macron Stadium in April 2016 and has previously worked at Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City.

Chairman Ken Anderson said: “We would like to thank John for his excellent contribution to Bolton Wanderers Football Club during his time at Macron Stadium. We would also like to wish him every success at Stoke City.”

It sounds like a straightforward better opportunity rather than anything sinister, the opportunity came up at Stoke because their head of finance left to go as the new CEO of West Brom.
Not great timing for us and I'm sure all the current goings on made an easy decision even easier.
