I'm no bah humbug sort of person but I do find Christmas Day a bit boring after a while particularly when the family camp around the telly to watch stuff that has no interest to me.

Either that or I need my daily hit of Nuts to get by!

Whatever it is though please feel free to join in and say hello particularly to anyone who may be on their own.

We may not be much but the rest of us Nutters are your family for today and as long as you want us to be.

Happy Christmas to one and all!

I've just escaped from Mrs B's parents for half an hour under the pretence of nipping home to let the dog out.

It's bloody painful round there.

In laws, us and Mrs B's Nan who is deaf as a post and talks constantly about fuck all.

Mrs B's Dad fell asleep and Mrs B buggered off into the kitchen with her Mum to make some coffees, leaving me and Nanna.

Who started banging on (out of the blue) about the number of people apparently getting murdered in Manchester nowadays.

I tried ignoring her by politely nodding and offering the odd "ooh, that's terrible" but it just made her worse, to the point where she announced that one fella was recently kicked to death outside the town hall.

Merry bastard Christmas........

Me and all,
It's only me and the missus at home now and she's fast asleep on the sofa snoring like Shrek. Last night's Grantchester is on the box .
Roll on tomorrow when I can get to the match.
Topped the oil up in my car yesterday but forgot to put the oil filler cap back on and then drove about 20 miles in it-and now the engine is pissed wet through with oil.
I like Christmas in general- but like others find Christmas day a bit tedious though
I got a good haul of presents though.

Happy Christmas to any one who reads this.
Time to get quietly pissed now.

Hi everybody and Merry Christmas to you.

I'm having a quiet Christmas with just myself and the other half. Saw one of the kids yesterday and will be spending time with the other one next week. It would be nice to spend Christmas with them but it's actually quite relaxing not having to bother with anyone else. Lunch was brilliant and now all I have to decide is which chocolate I'm going to eat next. santa

Had A Lovely Christmas dinner but essentially on Christmas day I'm just a glorified Taxi driver.

Got a really bad cold and just want to sleep, but have to pick my daughter up later, go see my brother and then my mum. Might finally be able to relax (have a drink) at about eleven tonight.

Merry Christmas.

Hi, I like Christmas but the day itself always seems a big anti-climax.

It's just my wife and me ( which is fine), as most of our relations have died including both sets of parents. The rest we don't want to see or they live at the other end of the country.

Really nice lunch, but have drunk a bit too much wine and now feel very lethargic and my stomache feels rather heavy.

I'm 68 now and for some reason Christmas and New Year always make me feel my age and I get to thinking about how many more years I have to live.

I read an article about the actor Bill Nighy a few weeks ago, he is 67 and he said he thinks about dying everyday now.

I saw an interview that Jools Holland did with Roger Daltrey when he was 70, he asked Roger what his plans were for the next 10 years, he answered, I'm just trying to keep breathing.

Anyway I've just got to dry some pots and open a bottle of DOOMBAR before DR WHO.

I hope you are all feeling a little better now. Merry Christmas!!!

I'm 66 and try not to think about dying. I just want to make the most of what time I have left.

I remember reading that what counts is experiences not possessions. I think this is generally right as long as you have your health (physically and mentally). So my wife and I try to visit as many places as we can and enjoy the good times.

The only slight problem is supporting Bolton. Not too bad this season but it's been a while since I actually enjoyed supporting them.

That's Mrs B's Dad.

I've just had six hours of that, interspersed with the odd moments when he woke up, grabbed the remote, asked "What's this rubbish we're watching?" and then turning the TV over.

She owes me......

Had contact with around a dozen aeroplanes and a bit of a flap about the Russian military aircraft that went down in the Black Sea, but apart from that been coffeed and Quality Streeted by some lovely WRAFs and had a packed lunch. Off now until Wednesday so going to get my head down  and get pissed tomorrow.
Have a pleasant remainder of Christmas.

His "hat" nearly went up his pumper on several occasions.

And to all of you who are currently considering your own mortality, he's 77, got a triple bypass under his belt and is still annoyingly active in my personal life, so you lot have absolutely nothing to worry about...

Finally. And I mean finally I get a minute to myself. Loving it TBH. Fabulous day, duty done, loved ones loved, happy days.

Merry Christmas to all and if you're on your own I'll be raising a glass to you if I can manage to get anything else down my neck. Chocolate will be my nemesis though.

I'm in work tomorrow, but I've been relegated to sleeping on the settee to accommodate people who refuse to go home, and are now refusing to go to bed because they want to watch Mrs Brown's Boys.
I'm sat in Bolton Central with a box of After Eight mints, watching odd things on youtube, and hoping Tony Bomboni doesn't show up again. He wants to trim my eyebrows. Well he can piss off.

What a day.  Finally got to bed last night (this morning) at 2:30.  Lad woke up at 4am but had to wait until half 5 before we ventured downstairs.

Living room and dining room was just an ocean of toys and warapping paper.  Loved it.  Everyone came to us this year so apart from going out to test  a remote control car and a drone i havent moved.

Only 7 of us for xmas dinner but had an additional 8 visitors on top of that and although its been non stop and tiring ive loved every minute.  Kids have been great, little girl even had a nap about 4pm for an hour or so and unfortunately she was asleep on me so i couldnt move and had to have a bit of a doze myself Smile

Loads of gadgets and stuff but i got my record player and a copy of the greatest album ever on vinyl to accompany it.

(The verve - a northern soul)

Now the kids are asleep and im watching war dogs. Pepsi max and chocolate in hand Smile

Merry Xmas everyone  Smile
