Anyone going to Globe Arena on Wednesday?

Will we ever get a pre-season win?

Probably not a win- but more first team squad players injured and not available for the start of the season caused by playing these lower league teams.
When will Coyle ever learn to stop playing agricultural types and play fewer but better opposition. It's done ,apparently, to get match fitness- but all we get is injured players

Yeah, because Crewe are renowned for being 'agricultural' and kicking lumps out of everyone aren't they?

I just dropped a piece of toast and it landed buttered side down, that's Coyle's fault too.

in answer to your question... doubt it.

I think we would be better measuring the injuries instead of goals...

my predictions... a 3-1 one loss with 'lots of positives', 1 broken leg to a 'major' player and 8 'slight knocks' ... 2 of which, after medical assessment will mean 3 months out...

Only if the training ground canteen and the restaurants in hotels they use, use the same brand! Wink

So who do these lower league teams normally play against and do their opponents always end up injured?

Who do they play against? Each other, against teams in lower leagues than themselves and against teams in higher leagues than themselves. Before we started playing friendlies a couple of weeks ago ,how many players did we have with injuries? How many do we have now, some of whom will not be ready for the serious stuff starts in about three weeks. .
These friendlies are really good for us- no wins, one defeat, a run of draws ,not much confidence and a string of injuries.
Is there not a better way of trying to get match fitness without taking these risks?

Considering that Zatiyah managed to break Mears' leg in training last season, I don't see what the fuss about friendlies/injuries is about.

I think there is. Why can't the club just divide the squad into two equal teams (there must be 22 of the ponces) and play them against each other. Is that not a match?

I don't see any benefit playing the likes of Crewe and Morecambe, unless Coyle is planning ahead for the following season.

I've heard that's what some people do. I prefer to give people a clear indication of who they're writing to.

Ngog is fit again, it seems. How many goals can he give us tonight? I don't have too high expectations. Rolling Eyes
