For those going to this game I suggest you check your routes and timings because I believe there are problems with the trains (reduced service) and problems with the roads (particularly the A6).

Tweet from Chorley FC this morning -

For those coming by car, the Adlington Carnival parade is between 12-2 pm & the A6 is CLOSED at & either side of these times.

Some travel and parking advice from Charlie Magpie (the clubs unofficial spokesman) -

Travel - This Saturday, 8th July, is also Adlington Carnival. The main roads through Adlington will be closed between 12.00 noon and 5.00pm.  If you are travelling through Horwich, you will be better travelling through Rivington, over the motorway bridge to the Bay Horse pub, then along Long Lane to Limbrick, then short distance to Chorley town centre near Morrisons.

Coming from Chorley New Road and Westhoughton area, use M61 and come off at Junction 8.

I hope you do not experience to much inconvenience, but you will have the opportunity to try a few new pubs on route - Bay Horse top of Babylon Lane, Black Horse at Limbrick, Spinners at Cowling Brow, etc.

Car Parking - Apparently all the car parks in Chorley town centre are free after 1.00pm on Saturdays, but the main Flat Iron car park has a limit of 2 hours and a' time of arrival' ticket must be displayed.

I would suggest car park next to MacDonald's which is accessed via roundabout next to MacD's. If full, continue through car park and go under the railway to Friday Street car park. You will see the Malt and Hops real ale pub ahead of you. But please check signage in car parks. If you are early, you should be able to park closer to ground, I usually park along Pilling Lane.

Other -
A visit to a non-league ground is an opportunity to re-live the 'good old days' of standing on the terraces, having a pie and a brew in the open air and swapping ends at half-time. This is something many youngsters will never have experienced and so we hope to make it a great 'family day' with FREE admission for under 12s and £5.00 for everyone else. The social club will be open from about 1.00pm and serves a range of ales and lagers at very reasonable prices, and the food from the Magpies' Nest snack bar is top quality.

So how many we putting past Chorley today?

I fancy a 5-0 followed by a  pint a goal in a nice beer garden.

We're going to smash you soft Bolton bastards.

This is the day every Chorley fan has been waiting for all their life. We're going to crush you like the pathetic lightweight ponces you are. No Bolton fan will be left standing. If you get out alive you'll remember this day for the rest of your pointless life. The day Chorley conquered Bolton.

Come on you Magpies.

4-0 Chorley.

Didn't Chorley beat us last season?

Yes, but your fans claimed it was a second string side.

No arguments this time, Parkinson has said he's sending his best squad. Which isn't saying much.

Ahh just checked.  It was a wanderers 11 full of the youth team.  Lost 6-1.  Match report here: http://www.chorleyfc.com/index.php/statistics/fixtures-results/season-2013-14/55-fixtures/fixtures-home/2822-chorley-v-bolton-wanderers-27-07-2016

Updated saying will be a mix of development squad and first team, so only 4-0 whites. :COYW:

TBH I don't think Parky has a first X1 to put out yet.

Takes some doing to get a red card in a friendly but Teague has managed it. I guess Chorley are taking this seriously.

Haris Tabakovic - Swiss striker, apparently.

Brockbank pulls one back

Harry Brockbank heads home from close range after Beevers put the ball back into the danger area with a header at the far post.

It was coming. In the minutes before the goal White, Hall and Vela all missed chances to score, but finally Ryan White does the business.

Brockbank puts Wanderers ahead. Nat will be fuming. And will point to the sending off.

Sigh of relief. No doubt Nat's off to buy a pair of slippers, even three. Another few goals...for The Trotters, should see it over the line. The trialist is a Swiss, Bosnia born, player. Might be okay for us.

An absolute fucking disgrace! I intend to take this to the top - FIFA, Theresa May, Simon Cowell, David Beckham.....anyone who will listen.

Chorley deserved to win. Make no mistake, for 45 minutes we were in cruise control. 2-0 up and it should have been 3 or 4. We made Bolton look like Bamber Bridge. Le Fondre and Madine were made to look like Laurel & Hardy.

And then the ref stepped in. Clearly this was the pinnacle of his career, taking charge of a Chorley game. But to make sure he stole the headlines he sent Chorley's Andy Teague off for no more than looking at a Bolton player. I didn't see which Bolton player took the Oscar as I was busy setting off a fire cracker, but whoever it was should be ashamed.

Of course Bolton came back to score three in the second half - although clearly Bolton were making the rules up as they went along as they brought on 11 subs. Yes, 11 fucking subs! But the ref didn't notice, I guess one Bolton ponce looks pretty much like the next Bolton ponce.

This was a fucking outrage. I must seek justice for the Chorley 11.

Jesus! That made oi larf. They scored against Bolton's second string, but when the big boys came on Chorley ran away. There's a nursery rhyme in there somewhere.

Make no mistake, the first half side had, wheater, madine, le fondre, karacan, alnwick, devrite, little and buckley.

The only second string players where King (who was the ponce who was involved in the sending off), Perry and Lonsdale and whilst we had the best of the possession, Chorley twice made us look like mugs at the back  and our play in the final third was garbage.

What worries me most is we set up in both halves with a 4-4-2 and wheater and devrite in the first half couldn't handle chorley's movement.

Second half we looked better and a lot had to do with the introduction of Vela who bossed midfield and effectively played the ball out wide. Andy Taylor played well and surprisingly who was helped by Chris Taylor who also looked good.

First friendly and you expect us to be off the pace, however if we are going 4-4-2 this season and breaking up the best defence we have had in years then I seriously worry about the season.

Nope we had most of the ball and possession in the first half, but the midfield and wide players did nothing with it. I thought Chorley played just as well with 10 men as they had with 11.

Get real, we dominated the chances in the first half, could have been 3 or 4 nil. The sending off changed everything.
