Although England were boring and experimental against Croatia the other night in that awful game in an empty stadium, it could be argued that they could have won against the quality Croatian side that outplayed them in the WC semi final.
Tonight it's Spain who are on a roll at the moment. If we don't lose to them I'll have to start believing Southgate is on to something.

Fantastic result but the media seem to be getting carried away with it again. They seem to forget that Spain fielded an understrength side, have already just about qualified and could have scored four or five themselves so it was hardly a runaway victory. On the other hand England had to get a result and they did so big kudos for Southgate and his young side - but they still aren't World or even European Champion material yet.

I've got two buttered Chorley cakes in front of me now. I'll save them for kick off. I'm in a better mood after Chelsea got that late goal.

Yes it is, I'm just praying no one died but the silence from officials suggests otherwise. I suspect the lack of word on casualties is because bodies have yet to be formally identified and next of kin have to be informed.

Looking at the scene, I don't think anyone could have survived.
A dark day for Leicester City, and football in general.
Certainly puts our own woes into perspective.

They have better, more valuable players than us and more valuable assets eg the training ground that Saint Eddie sold them.

Nations league - have to say i’m A convert. Was a bit sceptical at the beginning but now I understand it’s a lot more interesting than pointless friendlies and like a squash ladder ensures the games are all fairly even match ups. No more stupid games against the Faroe Islands or San Marino for the foreseeable that serve to boost goal tallies - and perhaps for that reason Kane and future strikers may struggle to pass Rooney’s record.

Rob Holding out for 9 months after rupturing his ACL in the 2 -2 draw against Manure.

Still annoyed that we let him go for £2 million especially as he only made 26 appearances for us and within months was playing in Europe, won the FA Cup and Charity Shield and is now an Arsenal regular.

I suppose the upside is that it saved Anderson having to invest £2 million of his own money.
