As ever it seems opinion is divided on a player. If sluffy's right then I suppose it's a moot point anyway since we can't in all probability afford his wages but given his personal history I suspect the 'big' clubs will shy away because they don't need the negative PR signing him would almost certainly bring. I'm not going to judge the guy though, not after the way I misjudged the Evans case. If he's got some help to deal with his behavioural issues and he's genuinely working to fix them it may be we are just what he needs and he could do us some good too. Looking at his youth career (google is so helpful sometimes ) it seems to me he's got some real talent and promise. Given how little we appear to have in resources to sign players he could well be worth the punt if he's fully fit.

He won't be coming to Bolton. He was poor, no way would Parky risk more of that.

If Nixon's right then the deal's dead before it starts. But given Nixon's record I'd take this with a pinch of salt. If Rovers want to keep Graham then they'll trigger the option if it exists but to me the fact they haven't (as yet) suggests to me they're not bothered about him leaving. And if there is an option is it purely on BRFC's side or does he have a say himself in whether or not it's triggered. Nixon as usual hasn't provided a single concrete fact about that option and whether or not Blackburn intend to trigger it. If they do then it's because he's going to play and I can't see them wanting to pay a year's wages to a guy whom they don't want if (as seems likely) they're unable to sell him for a fee.

What's your source on that boggers? I can't find anything about it on Beeb or SSN sites. Personally I think if he's fit then Ireland wouldn't be a bad signing but could we afford his wages? I know he's probably not in a position to demand fortunes right now but given what constraints we appear to be operating under even a League Two club could probably afford to pay him more than we can if they want him.

For the creative midfielder I'd be looking at players in their mid to late 20s in cheaper foreign leagues.Surely there are Poles/Albanians/Romanians/Bulgarians etc who could do a job in central midfield in the 2nd tier of the English league ?
