We'll get dicked. You know, I know it, Parky knows it.

Even our 10-0-0 formation won't save us.

0-3 to the Boro.

They have a phenomenal squad for this level so I also expect us get dicked even if Parky finally gets round to changing the shape. What I don't want to happen is for us to try a different system, get dicked anyway simply because Boro have better players than we do and then abandon the new system just because it couldn't beat a £100 million team.

I think we'll lose by at least 2.

Another home defeat, i hope it doesn't turn into the last time we were in the Championship, that was the most depressing season i've seen in nearly 30 years of watching BWFC

I'm looking forward to playing with three right wingers. Surely Parky wouldn't waste money on Ameobi & Noone and then not play them?

Hard to see anything other than a defeat probably by a couple of goals but you never know can but hope.

Ref watch: Geoff Eltringham to oversee Middlesbrough clash

Geoff Eltringham will take charge of Wanderers’ Sky Bet Championship fixture against Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon.

Involved professionally within the game since 2008, the official has run the rule over eight Bolton games, his first a 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace in 2012, while his most recent Whites game saw Phil Parkinson’s side dispatch of League One side Bury 2-0 in October 2016.

So far this season he has handed out 21 yellow cards and is yet to issue a red card.

Billy Smallywood and James Wilson will run the line, while Carl Boyeson is the fourth official.

Preview: Five talking points ahead of Bolton Wanderers v Middlesbrough

As Wanderers return to action against Middlesbrough this weekend after the September international break, bwfc.co.uk highlights five talking points ahead of the Whites' Sky Bet Championship clash with the Teesiders.

1. Club football is back!

Club football returns to Macron Stadium on Saturday after the international break as Wanderers welcome Middlesbrough to BL6.

Having lost their their last outing before the break in disappointing manner against Hull City, it has been a long two weeks for the Whites as they looked to re-group at Lostock.

Hungry to bounce back, this weekend's clash with Boro gives Bolton the perfect opportunity to kickstart their season in front of their home fans.

Tickets for the game are available online, with fans able to buy in advance and print at home to avoid queues at Macron Stadium.

2. International break

The international break has provided Phil Parkinson with both positives and negatives heading into Saturday's game.

While Wanderers have had to wait that bit longer to get back on the field after their last outing, an extra week on the training field has been welcomed after a fast-paced opening month to the 2017/18 season.

Injured players have had an extra week to recover, presenting the Whites manager with a welcome selection dilemma as certain members of his first team squad close in on first team returns.

However, Bolton also saw West Ham United loanee Josh Cullen play the full 90 minutes for Republic of Ireland Under-21s as they faced Azerbaijan in Baku for their latest European qualifier.

And with Parkinson having resisted the urge to rotate for league fixtures so far this season, the likes of Derik Osede and Antonee Robinson could be given the opportunity to start after impressing in Carabao Cup fixtures.

3. Injury news

David Wheater is in line to make his first team return against his former club this weekend having been sidelined since the opening day of the season, while Phil Parkinson confirmed the injury suffered by Jem Karacan at Hull City is not as bad as first feared.

Late decisions will be made on Will Buckley and Josh Cullen after the pair also both limped off against the Tigers, but Sammy Ameobi is not yet ready to return. Josh Vela remains sidelined.

4. Signing session

Fans can meet Sammy Ameobi and Josh Vela in Bolton Central this Saturday with the popular duo appearing in the club's retail outlet to meet fans from 12.45pm onwards prior to the Trotters' Sky Bet Championship clash with Middlesbrough.
With Wanderers' 2017/18 home shirt back in stock in store, 'Wanderers Return', the club's 2016/17 promotion-winning commemorative book, available for a reduced price of just £10 and Bolton's official matchday programme, 'The Wanderer' also on sale, fans will have plenty of opportunities to get merchandise signed by the pair!

So pop into Bolton Central prior to kick-off and meet the pair, before cheering on the Whites as they look to return to winning ways after the international break!

5. Deadline Day debutant

Bolton fans could get their first glimpse of Deadline Day signing Craig Noone this weekend with the wideman in line to make his Trotters debut.

Signing a two-year deal after joining from Cardiff City, the 29-year-old has impressed in his first week at training at Lostock.

With Bolton's 2017/18 home shirt available both in store at Bolton Central and online, you can personlise your shirt with 'Noone 12' and give the Trotters' latest signing a warm welcome against Middlesbrough this weekend!

I'm guessing 4-2-3-1 perhaps (maybe 4-1-4-1)

Change of keeper - Alnwick (who I think is probably that bit better than Howard)

Darby right back, Wheater, Beevers, Robinson

Derik defensive mid alone(?) or

with perhaps Pratley playing with him there or if not further forward as centre midfield with Karacan with Morais and Noone wide of him/them in midfield

with Madine up front.

Anybody think differently?

I thinks that's pretty much nailed it.
