GARY Madine has returned to training with Wanderers following his arrest in Gateshead at the end of last week – and WILL be available for selection against Preston North End.
The Whites striker was released without charge after an altercation in a public house his home town of Birtley during the England v Germany game on Friday night.
Phil Parkinson and Steve Parkin have spoken privately to Madine over the last couple of days and the club is still reviewing the situation.
Police are yet to confirm the matter is closed – but the 27-year-old will be free to take his place in the squad at Deepdale.

“We trained Sunday and Gaz was back in with us,” Parkinson said. “I think it has been blown out of proportion to a certain degree but we’ve had a good chat with Gary and we want him to focus on what he’s been doing so far this season.
“I don’t want him to ruin all that hard work he’s put in place, and that we’ve put in place for him. If he’s selected on Friday, he’s ready to go.”
Speaking about the squad as a whole, the Whites boss said he has been able to fix a few niggling injuries over the international break and should have a relatively full squad to pick from for the game.
“Andy Taylor is making good progress and David Wheater has had some treatment on a muscular problem,” he said. “We’ve been able to work more with Will Buckley, who is looking a lot sharper now.

"In general I have been very pleased with the way the lads have come back willing to work hard and carry on with the run we have been on.

"It's a great game to get back to, a local derby at Preston, which I am sure our fans are looking forward to. We've got to do our bit."
