I can't see us getting anything from this one.

Even before we lost Henry, Pratley and the West Ham boys, Brentford had been in better current form than us (during the period our form had improved from the signing of Henry as our only defensive midfielder in the whole team).

So even at our sustained best this season - Brentford have out performed us.

I've no idea what team Parkinson will pick either.

I'm guessing 4-5-1 though, with Little hopefully fit at right-back to replace Burke, maybe the Everton lad we just signed playing attacking midfield - just behind Madine, with Vela and Derik playing defensive midfield and Noone and Ameobi on the wings?

Can anyone see a better set up with the players we have?

Midfield is going to be an issue definitely. I thought Vela and Cullen did well in the game when Henry and Pratley went off but Cullen has gone now. I suspect he will stay with a 4231 and play Vela and maybe Derik as the holding midfielders with Ameobi, Buckley or Noone and Morais in front of them.

I'd be surprised to see the new lad start but you never know. I did predict a draw on the prediction thread but don't be surprised to see me change it before tomorrow.

I think we'll get dicked.

The team will be:

Alnwick

Little - Wheater - Dershite - Beevers - Robinson

Morais - Vela - Derek - Buckley

Madine

Not sure which way it will go as Brentford have been a mixed bag recently. They lost to Wolves last time out but prior to that had some good wins against decent sides. However, Barnsley managed to get a draw at Griffin Park and Hull beat them so maybe they don't do so well against struggling sides?

If we play to our top form we may have a chance but I'm going with 1 - 1.

That may not be good enough to keep us out of the bottom 3 as Burton are playing QPR and Hull have Reading.

Preview: Five talking points ahead of Brentford v Bolton Wanderers

As Wanderers return to league action this weekend in the capital away at Brentford, bwfc.co.uk highlights five talking points ahead of Saturday's clash at Griffin Park.

1. Winning run

Wanderers return to league action on Saturday afternoon following an almost two-week break from the Sky Bet Championship, but they do so having won their last two outings against Sheffield United and Hull City.

Last Saturday's narrow Emirates FA Cup defeat to Huddersfield is the only blemish on the Whites' recent form, with Phil Parkinson's men's attentions now solely focused on their domestic exploits.

Can the Trotters make it a hat-trick of league victories come the final whistle this Saturday?

2. Back on the road

Following back-to-back home games in league and cup, Wanderers head back out on their travels this weekend for the first time in a fortnight.

Last time out on the road however they managed to secure their first away league victory of the campaign down at Bramall Lane, and will no doubt be keen to follow that result up with another in the capital this Saturday.

3. Harry Charsley

Having made the switch to Macron Stadium on Friday on loan from Everton for the rest of the season, could Saturday see a first Bolton appearance for midfielder Harry Charsley?

The 21-year-old has already figured in the Europa League for the Toffees this season, making his debut for the Merseysiders in their game against Apollon Limassol in December.

And following on from fellow youngster Connor Hall's maiden Bolton appearance against Huddersfield Town last Saturday afternoon, there could be another debutant in the Whites' ranks this weekend.

4. Injury news

There are no fresh injury concerns from last weekend's outing in the Emirates FA Cup, but Karl Henry and Darren Pratley remain sidelined with their respective knocks which they picked up against Hull City on New Year's Day.

With a number of players coming into the fray last time out meanwhile in the cup and putting in impressive performances, the manager will no doubt have food for thought when it comes to his team selection.

5. Pay on the day

Bolton Wanderers fans will be able to purchase tickets on the day of the match for this Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash away at Brentford.

Supporters will then only be able to buy tickets directly from window number 4 at the Ticket Office on Braemar Road at Griffin Park on Saturday.

Tickets will be sold from noon onwards and can be paid for with cash or debit/credit card.

There will however be a £5 price increase for all age bands on the day, excluding U18s which will remain at the advanced price.

Any supporters who have organised for their tickets to be sent to Brentford for collection or have their tickets duplicated, will also be left at the Ticket Office Collection Point.

On-the-day prices are as follows:

Terrace Prices

Adults - £28
Over-65s - £22
Under-25s - £20
Under-18s - £6

Seated Prices

Adults - £30.50
Over-65s - £23.50
Under-25s - £21.50
Under-18s - £6

I'd forgotten that Griffin Park still has two terraces. Not sure how that squares with the Taylor Report. They also have a pub on all four corners of the ground. Missed a trick there when the Macron was designed Smile

We need more from Cardiff to get their GD nearer to ours, but it would be even better if we can get our first ever league win at Griffin Park.

Wanderlust is clearly trying to get his post count up.

KP has probably promised him a blow job once he hits 15,000 posts.

4-0 Lusty... feel better now?  -17 GD for Sundy... could have been more... 9 shots on target for Cardiff to none.  Let's hope we can hold our own today and steal one point.
