Team               After Week 11         Today Week 37          Difference

Bolton                2 points                36 points                  + 34 points

Sunderland         7 points                28 points                  + 21 points

Burton                9 points                30 points                  + 21 points

Birmingham        5 points                30 points                  + 25 points

Barnsley             11 points *           33 points                  +  22 points

Reading               9 points *            36 points                  +  25 points

*  Game in hand after 11 weeks

If my math is correct, then we have done very well since Week 11... fivethirtyeight.com has us at only 14% chance of relegation.   (Reading 15%, Barnsley 25%, Birmingham 71%, Burton 84%, and Sunderland at 85%).  Let's hope these statistics are correct.

If we had the same point average for the first 11 games we have had since, we would be pushing for play offs.  Dont think we will keep this swuad together plus its a year older which for some players is a year less pace.  Major rebuilding work over the summer WHEN we stay up

I wouldn't read too much into these stats. Results can go mental at the end of the season when teams get desperate and players finally realise their careers are on the line. Hull have already started to make their move and Brum, Burton and Barnsley have started to put better performances together even if they haven't been rewarded with points yet so there may well be movers at the last minute.
As Bolton fans we should be more aware than most of the perils of flirting with relegation as we've been sent down on goal difference and last day results before now and we are still a long way from safety.

If we can beat Birmingham and Burton that would give us a minimum of 42 points. all the clubs below are averaging below a point a game. they would have to increase that to 1.5 points a game to reach 42 points. I would hope we can get points from Barnsley, Millwall, and Forest for a total of at least 45.

This year that should be enough.

Amen!  Hopefully no one below go on a run.  Parky had better play to win... but you can't argue with the 1.3 pts per game after week eleven... though had he played to win, we probably could have done better. Let's just hope we survive this season and find a very rich benefactor for Ken to make quite a few shekels from.
