Alnwick
Olkowski Wheater Beevers Taylor
Ameobi Oztumer Vela Wildschut
Le Fondre

Absolutely dire side at the moment.. Wheater, Beevers, Taylor, Vela and Le Fondre all need replacing with better players to give us a chance of play offs

Surprised you haven’t added Stephen Ireland in there after you saying that it was a done deal...

Can’t have him and Oztumer as our midfield, need an enforcer in there

Is it? That would basically be a new line up you scrub.

Replacing those players with better quality who knows where we could go.

Certainly won't get us anywhere near playoffs.

No you keep on watching, it's the only way to learn the game.

I'd like to think Parky will go with the traditional 11 players.

I doubt he'll pick Vela over Lowe.

Lowe has clearly been signed to play the Henry role.

Anderson and Parky have made it clear that their priority signing will be a striker so if you take Boggers team (including Lowe) and throw in e.g. Wyke I imagine that won't be far off his first eleven.
As regards how we will fare, there are a lot of if's and buts as the new signings all have something to prove and have to stay fit, but if they do it looks on paper at least a better equipped team than last season. Apart from a striker, I'd be surprised if the rest of the seven signings Parky talks about are anything better than back ups - which may make it difficult to attract quality youngsters on loan from the Prem as they wouldn't be guaranteed game time. That's why Sterling chose Coventry over us.
No complaints about the signings so far as you have to gamble a bit when money's tight but at least he's gone for signings that could be great if they play to their potential.

Why do you continue to post completely made up bollocks all the time???

Robinson who was only 20 years old played 33 times for us on loan from Everton last season and Sterling who is only 18 was tapped up by his former coach who moved to Coventry -

Back in June Sterling says he was on the verge of a loan move to Bolton until he was contacted by Adrian Viveash, the former Chelsea academy coach now working at Coventry.

“Initially I was going to sign for Bolton but I got a call from Adi and he just said that if I come to Coventry he knows I'll bring a lot to the team and that it will be the best place for me to learn," the defender told the Coventry Telegraph.
"It's my first loan and he said it's a family environment and just a nice place to be".

So we DO play young loanees from Premier clubs if they are good enough and where would you go at just 18 years of age for your first loan out some random club up north or to a place where someone who probably acted like your dad over the years who watched you grow up and helped you develop your footballing skills and would be sure to look after you was at???

You must have spent ages carefully selecting the quotes from that one article that vaguely support the spurious argument you are putting forward in your personal vendetta.

Nope, I posted the quotes just as they were shown in the paper - even gave the link for everyone to see too.

I've also told you before that I'll not allow the site to turn into a Bolton News comment section clone full of self opinionated bullshit from nut jobs.

The fruitcakes on there are always banging on as to how Parkinson won't play the youngsters and somehow ignoring the fact he played a 20 year old for the best part of last season simply because the facts get in the way of their bile.

I don't mind anybody having a difference of opinion from myself but making things up that patently aren't true - and can be easily checked or widely known to be false - why do that?

..dunno..

“I thank Coventry for giving me the opportunity to play and get more first team experience.”
Asked what his best or preferred position is, he said: “To be fair I’m happy anywhere down the right.
“A lot of people say my best position is as a right wing-back or higher, but I do enjoy playing right-back as well, so I don’t really mind.
“I just want to be in the starting eleven.”

So now that we're nearing the end of the transfer window we have a bit more insight into how the team will look. If we get Hobbs, potentially Robinson on loan, and hang on to Beevers we'll have a Championship standard defence IMO. The midfield looks to have improved marginally if Oztumer and Wildschut come good. Magennis, if we get him is a workhorse if not a regular goalscorer (Donaldson too) so I suspect we'll need more firepower, and Alnwick needs cover. As it stands, I think we'll struggle again but if the last few signings are quality it would make a massive difference as the basis of a competitive team is already in place.

One striker, that would make me happy and if we get one more keeper of a decent standard I'd be very happy. I think that squad should finish mid table which would be a fine improvement on last season. Obviously I'd like us to go up or at least reach the play offs but I don't think that's a realistic hope given the circumstances for this year at least. Maybe the 2019/20 season though?
