People living close to Partners Swingers Club, in Woolfold, have complained of a number of issues, including semi-naked revellers in their street, being woken by fights in the early hours of the morning, and lewd items being left outside the club.

Among the items reportedly found outside the club, which operates out of an old factory building off Whitelegge Street, are discarded condoms and pornographic leaflets.

Now, some residents living in the area say they have finally had enough.

Ben Taylor, who lives in nearby Byrom Street, said: “My 12-year-old daughter stays here at weekends and from the back of the house you can see semi-naked people outside the club with just towels on.

“I have had to go out a few times and complain about noise, too. At three or four in the morning you often hear people fighting and arguing about who slept with their husband.

“My kids are not allowed out at night or when the club is in session.”

The club, which was established in 2002, is billed as the ‘North West’s premier adult entertainment club’. According to its website, it is open six nights a week, closing at 1am on weekdays and 3am at weekends.

As well as pool, jacuzzi and steam room facilities, it also houses a ‘dungeon area’, a ‘couples only room’ and an ‘orgy room’.

On the last Sunday of every month, the club plays host to ‘Kage Club’ nights, which is described as a BDSM fetish event.

Residents say the club is so popular that they frequently experience problems parking outside their own homes.

Mr Taylor added: “If you go out then you know you are not getting a parking space. They fill the street top to bottom.

“A lot of people go there and that is not including people getting dropped off in taxis. Massive cars with private registration plates go on some nights.

“On the last Sunday of every month, they come in PVC clothing or with chains being led from the car.”

Another resident living in Whitelegge Street, who asked not to be named, said she sometimes walked past the club on her way to work and had witnessed discarded condoms.

Lesley Whitehead used to live in the street, but said she became so fed up that she decided to move several years ago.

She now lives in Booth Street, in Tottington, but frequently visits her daughter, as well as father, who still live in the area.

She said: “It has been like this for years. I moved away because I was so sick of it.

“My daughter lives in the last house before you get to the club and we have had people knocking on the door asking where the swingers club is.

“The other week, someone had discarded a load of pornographic DVDs in the street. I was disgusted with it, it did not leave anything to the imagination. My grandchildren could have got hold of it.”

A spokesman for Bury Council said they had not received any complaints about Partners Swinging Club this year, and that as it ‘appears to be a members club, they do not need a licence to operate’.

Partners Swingers Club were approached for comment, but did respond by the time of going to press.

Woman says the DVDs leave nothing to the imagination so she obviously watched them despite her indignation.

Some funny comments on here! HAHA.

FYI, there is a snooker table but you are not allowed to pot the pink without consent.

Oh and you are not supposed to pot the brown unless you use a smaller cue.
