Today Reading FC are looking for a new manager.

Looks like Parky and Bruce are favourites

Clutching at straws there. Anderson can't afford to replace him so our best hope is he can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear IMO.

Bollocks.

So if Reading come along and offer £500k to take Parky, you think Ken would turn them down because he "can't afford to replace him".

Like most Bolton fans, I think he'd see it as a case of most extraordinary luck.

As I've said before parky is not the problem.

Even sir Alex Ferguson would struggle with this shite.

We're down if we lose Parky now.

Agree with this, however we have no choice if Reading come a calling.

Parky has every reason to leave us, no salary, no safety bonus (over due) no money to spend and he use to play for Reading.

To be honest wellw go down not because of Parky, but because we've no money. At the moment there's no prospect of that.

Ken disagrees with that.In his message to the fans last week he said this -

"There have been a number of accusations about the lack of funding being made available to the manager, which l don’t accept, to say the manager has not had the resources and support is very wide of the mark. In League One our players’ budget was in the top 2/3 clubs and even in the Championship it was higher than a number of other clubs last season and this. "

So why does he and Parkinson blame other clubs spending powers after every defeat?

Would like him to highlight which clubs he means. Looking from a great distance, but I’d be surprised if we were top 20 for player budget in the championship.

Quite an informed poster on WanderersWays (Thorpey) has posted that Reading are coming up tomorrow to meet KA then Parkinson.

Not that surprising really with his links to Reading, and no harm for all sides to have a chat.

Nothing to suggest though that Reading actually wants Parkinson or Parkinson wants Reading but its an interesting development if true - and no doubt it is.

Personally I hope he stays but maybe an honourable way out for all concerned - compensation for Parkinson and staff an unexpected windfall (particularly if we appoint from within - Phillips, Lee, Darby?), outstanding bonus payments for them settled?  Popular appointment for the Reading fans, most Bolton fans wishing him well but seemingly would be pleased to see him go.  And best of all a new Bolton manager for Martin to bitch about after just 5 minutes in post!

What's not to like if it comes off?

Nothing to suggest.....apart from the two sides having a meeting.

If it's true, and your boy suggests it is, then I'd suggest it suggests a lot.
