Middlesbrough (H).
Nott'm Forest (H).
Reading (A).
Burnley (H).
QPR (A).

So with January's fixtures not looking promising, i'm going for 2 to 5 points, With Freedman's negative tactics it could be none though.

And with a Dogshite derby sandwiched in there somewhere in the FA cup, its going to be a miserable January.

Or will Freedman surprise us all.

Please don't use the words Freedman and surprise in the same sentence Scotty. You know what you get with this cretin. The only surprise is he's still here.  :wtf2:

Middlesbrough (H). This will be close but I think we will edge it 1-0 ( 3 points )
Nott'm Forest (H). Another close one with us winning 2-1 ( 3 points )
Reading (A). Probably a draw ( 1-1 ) 1 point.
Burnley (H). A proper traditional Lancashire hotpot with us winning 3-1 ( 3 points )
QPR (A). Very close this one but our new found confidence gives us a 1-0 victory ( 3 points )

13 points out of a possible 15 will do very nicely thank you very much.

I forgot to mention our FA Cup fixture against Blackpool on Saturday. A comfortable 2-0 win to put us in the next round.

I reckon a new manager will be in place for the Burnley game.

We'll get a point at home to Boro, lose against Forest, and of course get a tonking away at Reading.

We'll beat Burnley and draw at QPR with a new man in charge - lose them both if the clown is still here.

I honestly can't see more than 3 points from all them games, with confidence how it is I really think Boro will give us a tonking on Wednesday afternoon.

If Andy Reid plays for Forest against us then he will pretty much run the show as he does every time we play them, hence another defeat.

As for the away games, god help us.

I'll have what Reebok Trotter is having. I think we'll do well to get 8 points from those fixtures.

Hard to tell as we're likely to have a different team before long. Even if we don't sign anyone the players coming back in should have something to prove. That said, unless we sort out conceding stupid goals, mainly from balls coming in from wide, we'll get tonked.

RT you've been on the waccy baccy if you believe that lot buddy. Have the pink elephants come into land yet? Is the one eyed one horned flying purple people eater sitting in The East Stand Upper again? He has to be if this lot's gonna happen.  lol!

M'boro (h) 0 - 0 Boro are not easy to beat and we'll play the usual don't concede stuff thus cancelling each other out in two scrappy midfields.

Forest (h) 0- 2 Forest are better than us right now and it will show. Sorry but I see home defeat all over this one.

Reading (a) Odd one this, sneakily feel Dougie's back will be to the wall and we'll pull out a win going 2 - 1 to us

Burnley (h) Could be a corker of a blood and thunder local derby. Going for 1 - 1 here, maybe 2 - 2 but a draw all the way

QPR (a) Will be surprised and happy if we get anything at all. I suspect 2 - 0 to qpr even though we've been better away

Cup tie v Blackpool. We'll field a weakened squad, get beat 2 or 3 nothing and Dougie will bleat about 'concentrating on the league".

So, one win, two draws, two defeats in the league give us 5 points and a spanking in the cup sees us out right there. And I still can't help wondering if I'm a little over-optimistic. Sad times to be a trotter fan.

I have a sneaking feeling that Dougie might be targeting the FA Cup as a priority this season. Once promotion is no longer a realistic possibility don't be surprised to see us mount a decent cup run. If we can win win the FA Cup I reckon the board will give Dougie at least another season to build for the future.

As crazy as RT's predictions seem I think he might be right. This is when we turn our season around and pull back points on league leaders.

What......?

So, let me get this right then.......

We're in 18th place on Jan 1st but we then go on to mount a monumental run and win the FA Cup.....?

And suddenly everything's ok and we become a decent team and destroy all before us in the league?

Have I wandered into a parallel universe, wherein Gartside and Freedman actually know what they're doing....?

There are some crazy people on here.......

Pass me the drugs.

No. I baggsied them first.  Laughing I want the ones that were in use when it was suggested that Ronaldinho might well be worth a punt for us as well.  What a Face

He said.... and I quote "If we can win win the FA Cup I reckon the board will give Dougie at least another season to build for the future."

And then YOU said "As crazy as RT's predictions seem I think he might be right."

I genuinely think this could be our year for the FA Cup. I fancied us last year tbh. Leading against Sunderland and then getting pegged back for a draw was hard to stomach but the lads did the business at the Stadium of Light.

A home draw against Everton where we outplayed them and led 1-0 until the buggers fluked it to win 1-2.

Everton then went through to draw the Pie Eaters who battered them! ( It wouldn't have happened to us, Wigan being a local derby and all that goes with it )
