With this I mean, going into administration , getting deducted 10 points or whatever, then having the debt cleared.

It might not be so straight forwards as that, but along those lines.

Going into administration doesn't mean the debts are cleared. It means the assets are sold to pay the debts.
From the accounts it would appear that we've just bought a load of new assets so having just invested in a hotel etc there's no way that we'd go into administration.

As the asset acquisition could have been done over a number of years, it would appear that the decision to spend a load at once was very deliberate - perhaps because the best deal could be done quickly.

Having the new assets means we have new income streams and good credit so we could perhaps borrow even more if we wanted to. The only potential problem is liquidity i.e. if Eddie called his debt in and we couldn't sell the assets off in time to pay him (cashflow) - but that's not likely to happen.

I did laugh at the bbc report of the debt.

"... could be forced to sell their prized assets"

who are they then?

I'm sure someone would have an interest in Mark Davies, certainly Eagles... maybe a cut price LCY.

I think Mark Davies is someone we could get 4-5 million for, Eagles 1.5? Lee - 1.5 - 3 million. Depends who's buying. Other than that i don't see anyone clamouring for our "talent"

Actually, there are quite a few static homes sites around this neck of the woods. Seems to be the way to go for many nowadays, which isn't surprising considering the cost of housing.
Good for you mate, enjoy what you have, along with all the spare cash  Very Happy

Yes, clubs are falling over themselves to buy anonymous injury prone ponces from struggling Championship clubs.

It's all about perceived potential. He still has upside, where as i don't think any one else in our squad does.

I think it's fair to say with add ons he is worth up to that 5 million mark. Injury problems will no doubt scare off most buyers though.

Other than his age I don't see what he has going for him. Despite this myth that he is a "great talent" we've only ever seen glimpses - more often than not you leave the ground wondering if he actually played.

Yesterday he had plenty of the ball but his final pass was awful. Just about sums him up. I doubt we'd get £500k if we sold him tomorrow.

glimpses are all it takes Nat, as you know when you look at other transfers that have taken place.

We've bought some shite purely based on potential, but that's understandable as until Dougie came along we were the laughing stock of the transfer market. I'll bet some clubs are perplexed at the idea that they can't dump their crap on us at an over-inflated price or buy any talent we may have for peanuts any more.
