He went to see Gartside in the stand to see if he wanted him to resign. But Gartside said 'no lad, you stay- you're doing g a cracking job!!'

We are being left behind as a club.  Other teams are being bought out...money and ambition to be pumped in etc.
We still have Fat Phil & his lacky's ......  Big Eddie who takes a nap during the games and is woken up to hear the result and send out the paychecks.
I don't even blame Doogie ......cash the paychecks and run lad.

Gartside, for his crimes against Bolton.

I think he should have a fair trial.

Then found guilty.

Put in the Stocks in front of the Town Hall and pelted with all sorts of rotten Veg and Dog shoite.

Till he begs for forgiveness.

Then give him one hundred lashes, with 5 strands of barbed wire, untill he begs for mercy.

Then Hang the **** [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I have to agree here. I've calmed down marginally since the final whistle and think that since these are the same players that played last week in much the same formation one can only place so much blame on the manager. Once they crossed the white line it was out of his hands and while I don't absolve him entirely by any means I do feel they have to be held PRIMARILY responsible for this disgraceful display. They should to a man hang their heads in shame and surrender their pay for this week to refund those fans who went all the way there to see that horror show.

Nobody can absolve the players for that performance lucky and yes they should feel ashamed but when a team loses so badly and puts in so little effort it's usually a sign of something much deeper. It seems clear to me that those players weren't really trying or bothered about the result but you really have to ask yourself why? They see what's going on daily, suffer from Fredmans attitude, not just to them but to colleagues, see the way he's treated the likes of Alonso, SKD, Sordell, Andrews and Mears. We may not think they're world beaters but to disrespect them as he has doesn't exactly spread confidence.

Now he's said they aren't good enough but he can't get rid of them. How can that build confidence? The guy is just a walking disaster. Mears is a good example. Freedman may not rate him as alayer but to publicly state he's not his idea of a full back, even if you think it, is just not professional. He obviously thought he could force him out but let's face it who's going to pay him £25k a week? Surely even a half brain would realise that but fair play to Tyrone, he was offered a contract and took it. He's 30 years old and won't get an offer like that again but he is out of contract this summer and will get another club then. For now he'll take the cash and stuff Freedman at the same time. I don't blame him, a little more humility and Freedman might have been able to do it better. Sadly he hasn't got the ability so the sooner he's gone the better for all of us.

I think you are being a tad harsh 63. Alonso was out of contract and wanted to leave. SKD was 35 years old and was on top wages and was unlikely to get a further contract.

Sordell was ' apparently ' homesick and couldn't settle in Bolton. Andrews was given plenty of games but failed to impress and Mears had a bad leg injury and hasn't done much since then.

It's easy to criticize Dougie but if you or I were manager then we would have probably done exactly the same.

None of the players you have mentioned were signed by Dougie and he cannot be held responsible for the squad Coyle left us with.

With all due respect that is utter bollocks.

These are highly paid professional footballers playing towards the top of their profession - they are paid to do a job just like any other top professional in any walk of life. If they can't do it, they should be told to fuck off, and if they can't hack being told to fuck off they should change jobs.

1) Alonso got a better deal so off he went - nowt Freedman could do about that.
2) Kevin Davies had been past his best for years and Freedman again did the right thing by not giving him a new contract. Are you suggesting we should dole out fat contracts to players based on their form of 2007?
3) Sordell has been utter shit since the day he walked through the Reebok door, an absolutely disastrous signing by Coyle. What sort of professional being paid £20k per week moans about being homesick? The fat ponce. Freedman did the right thing by shipping him off to Charlton who have since realised he's shit as well.
4) Andrews was on big wages giving little return. Shit player, too slow, and was rightly shipped out. He may well have done better at Brighton but that doesn't mean shit - he was crap at Bolton and that's all that matters. Freedman was right to send him down South.
5) Mears is the worst kind of professional. No fucking pride, he'd rather sit in the stands on matchday at Bolton than be on the pitch for Blackpool. This is the sort of twat who is killing football. Shame on you for defending him and I applaud Freedman for making him out to be the twat he clearly is.

Freedman is a shit manager who should be sacked immediately. But the players are every bit as guilty for the shambles the club finds itself in. Their attitude fucking stinks and is an insult to players of the past who were far better but paid a lot less.
