He's Swedish international - Centerback / Right back coming in for a trial next week. According to Iles.

I thought all the clamour was for a left back! This guy is right footed and plays at centre back. It gets weirder by the day with young Mr Freedman.

Leave him where he is. On the dole not playing
Save the air fare for another day.

Well like it or not the fact they are letting him still sign players means he's going nowhere any time soon. Unbelievable.   ::mad::

Knock the 20k off and you'll be nearer the mark.
More like 8k But personally I'd knock a couple of noughts off that and give him about £80 a week.

Not only a bad and boring signing, but it could lead to Mason getting the shirt and Juke on the bench? He's daft enough to do this.

Or loan Beckford out.

I still don't get this Mason thing and the idea of playing him as a striker is bonkers. Mason is a winger and whilst wingers with the quality of Thierry Henri have made the transition, Elmander didn't and I can't see Mason doing it either. Dougie must be seeing something I can't to even consider it.

Come on lusty Dougie sees all sorts of things nobody else sees. I mean we should have won yesterday for goodness sake.

Don't really get this Dyrestam thing either although he can allegedly play anywhere across the back four. The search for a natural LB must be getting desperate.
Dougie mentioned having a versatile defender the other week, but this lad's a risk. Still it's only a trial and only need LB cover until Tierney is back. Certainly fits our budget and could be a bargain - if we don't check him out we'll never know.

IMO, Mason will be playing with the Juke, but probably in the hole, just behind Juke. I know this sounds very pervy, but that's my thoughts!

This is a slight worry...

"Dyrestam is currently a free agent, after leaving IFK Goteborg at the end of December.

The 22-year-old defender- who plays primarily as a centre-back- can play in any position across the back-four.

Mikael made a total of 81 appearances for IFK, scoring two goals, and helped the club to a 3rd-placed finish in the 2013 Allsvenskan- which saw them qualify for the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League.

After overcoming a career threatening knee ligament rupture in 2010, he earned an international debut in January 2012, a 2-0 victory over Bahrain. "

So he's clearly over his injury as his international debut was later, but if Goteberg have qualified for next season's Europa League, why would they get rid of an international full back unless there was something amiss (apart from being injury-prone)?

Can't decide if this is a desperate gambit or a masterstroke.
