Separate bedrooms.

The wife's parents are away on holiday at the moment and we're looking after their dog.

Unfortunately he doesn't get on too well with our dog, so Mrs B has to take him home at night and she has been sleeping at her parents' house for the last 13 nights and it's been ace.

I've been able to sleep in the middle of the bed, doing the "starfish" and I haven't slept this well in years.

Unfortunately, they're back on Saturday, so I get Mrs B back in bed with me again.

Should I consider getting a double bed for the spare room and move in there?

Or is that bad form?

And is it something you're only allowed to do once you've hit a certain age?

Any advice?

I suspect a lot of couples sleep in separate beds, but it's a taboo subject in public. You're basically admitting you no longer enjoy intimacy with your partner when that probably isn't the case.

Like you I like to sleep in the middle of the bed so I make Mark sleep at the foot.

Doubt you would fit in a double bed fat man.

Sometimes it's really nice to sleep alone for a change and not have to listen to all the tossing and turning and farting and snoring. So my missus reckons anyway.

My other half as gone to see her parent's, so I have 2 nights to sleep in the middle, or either side.

Sleeping on my own is brill.

Twice in the last 6 months i have taken a pillow downstairs to the couch and had the best sleeps ever.
