I will again be running the Betting Shop competition.  Lets see who can take the title from Wessy!

The Bolton Nuts Betting Shop will soon open for business and here’s how it works:

A few days before each Bolton game I will provide you a set of bets and odds relating to the match. The obvious bets are match outcome, which player will score the first goal, which team will win, and exact score.

Each entrant will start off the season with an imaginary £1000. The aim is simple, use that £1000 to place bets and hopefully increase the size of your pot. You can make up to three bets before each match and you can bet as much or as little as you like each week (minimum £1) - but you must make at least one bet before every game.

For example, Norpig bets £20 on Adam Le Fondre to score the first goal against WBA at odds of 10/1 and £10 on the final score being 2-1 to Bolton at odds of 16/1. ALF does score the first goal so Norpig collects £200 plus his £20 stake back. But WBA win the game so he loses his £10 stake on the correct result. His overall pot would now be £1190.

The winner of the competition will be the person with the most money left in their pot come the end of the 2018/19 season (including play-offs in the highly unlikely event we are involved).

Things to note:

1) This competition is open to every member of Bolton Nuts, new and old, if you're not registered then I suggest you hurry up.

2) Mods and Admin are free to enter the competition as it is impossible to cheat.

3) The £1000 you start the game with is not real. You are not getting £1000. It is imaginary, it does not exist. And it stands to reason that any profits accrued from that £1000 are not real either. There will be no pay outs at the end of the season if you are in the black. By placing a bet you are acknowledging the fact that it is simply a game and all bets and any winnings are not real and you will be entitled to nothing other than the kudos of winning or finishing near the top should you end up with money left in your pot.

4) Bets must be in 90 minutes BEFORE kick-off.  If you know the teamsheet it gives you an advantage over those that bet early or are at the match. There will be no exceptions this season, if you place bets after this deadline they will not count.

5) There is no maximum bet, the minimum bet is £1. All bets must be in whole pounds, no £1.27 or £7.50 bets please.

6) If you don't make a bet you automatically lose 10% of your pot.

7) If you dont place a bet for 3 sucessive matches you lose all you pot.

8 ) People who want to enter should make sure their first bet is placed 90 mins before the first game.
