The time has come. It's time to clamber into the loft to get the Christmas tree down.
This has become something of a performance in recent years, and I'm not looking forward to it. My brother said he'd get it for me, but I'm not having that bastard getting one over on me. He's five years younger than me and thinks that makes him an athlete.
He's almost as accident prone as I am. He was knocked unconscious once after crashing his bike into a stationary car.
His excuse was that he was momentarily distracted by a man skipping in his front garden! What kind of an excuse is that?
He also had to go to A+E when he got a ball bearing stuck up his nose. What an embarrassment.

It brought back a few memories, so I went out and bought a packet of dried peas, and lined up some paper cups to shoot at.
Instead of blowing, I sucked, and nearly choked to death. It was confiscated.
Why does life have to be so complicated.
