Had an emergency call from my 90 year old mum this morning. Having finally mastered the DVD player, she put a film in, but, thirty minutes in, felt something was wrong. "There's no bloody sound".
When I arrived the film was just about ending.
She'd accidentally pressed the fast forward button, and had watched the whole film at triple speed. A couple of weeks ago I mentioned, as I have on here, that Bananaman was forty years old.
Her reaction, "Does he live round here?"
I was tempted to reply, yes, next door to Desperate Dan, but thought better of it.
Long may she continue, bless her.

Just found this review of Quorn Spinach and Red Pepper Deli Slices on Ocado.  Very Happy

I was guffing within 10 minutes of stuffing this down my cakehole. My wife had to open all the windows in the house as the stench was appalling. My ringpiece is in shreds. Would order again despite my ruined sheriffs badge and soiled gusset.

Yes indeed. As you might guess, I've never been near that sort of stuff. It's asking for trouble.

Anyone had pancakes? My dad used to make a big deal of it, and  usually made enough to feed the street, but I can't say I've bothered for years.

A friend of mine eats his chocolate biscuits with the chocolate side down. For some reason this pisses me off. Am I being petty?

Says he's always done it. Even does it with Jammy Dodgers. According to his brother, he sits on the toilet facing the cistern, so he's clearly contrary.
Or bonkers.

Apparently he's got a thing about toilet posture.

Don't understand it. Get on, get off, and blame the dog for the smell.

He's from Pakistan. Got some very odd habits, but is a nice bloke for all that. Don't mind the toilet thing, but the biscuits rile me.

No, I'm good to go. Just waiting for cabbie to come with my wallet. Poor bloke lives in Burnley, but is driving to Warrington before heading home. Very good of him, and I'll certainly be treating him to a nice tip.

My back has been playing up this week, and the only thing that cures it is lying flat on a hard surface.
So I'm back on the floor with a sleeping bag for a few days, snug as a bug in a rug.

I'm sleeping in my little hideaway, a room known to the family as Bolton Central, surrounded by my Bolton heroes.

The last face I see as I drift into slumber is Alan Gowling.

Find another one of him and one of Mark Fish, put them all together and then you can dream about Fish and chips!

I prefer Carrs pasties. Very Happy  Good job it isn't Peter Beardsley.
