I do not want to feel responsible for life - and sock - changing experiences of this magnitude@boltonbonce wrote:I'm having a sock purge, and going full on bamboo. Lusty was quite right about these socks, and, although I'm losing a lot of old friends, it's the right thing to do. Keeping my walking socks though.
Why the hell am I telling you?
Thanks for the advice anyway. A remarkably Breadmanesque post.@wanderlust wrote:

t was only a recommendation so I hope you fully road tested the gently breathing, comfortable yet pleasingly hard-wearing bamboo socks to your personal satisfaction before sacrificing the universe as you know it at the altar of right on footwear, amigo.
Obviously the Donald Trump Christmas knee socks and any odd ones like the Ren missing a Stimpy and the Hopeless Bob should go but I'm surprised that sock nostalgia hasn't kicked in. That said, my old - and sometimes favourite ones just disappear when they're on their last legs so to speak - usually around the time my missus "tidies my sock drawer for me".
I get suspicious when she does housework.
Thought you'd have your favourites?
Socks. They're always touching your slippers. 'Nuff said.
That reminds me - say hello to D,D.@boltonbonce wrote:

Thanks, I'll take a look.@Cajunboy wrote:BAM sale on, socks half price.

![]() | Mark Johnston Tuesday 18 August 2020 Dutch Decoy has been intermittently lame over the last few days, and the vet has diagnosed a suspensory ligament issue on his right fore. Having looked at all the options, we feel the best thing to do is to walk him (on the horse-walker) for a month, before trotting in September and then cantering. He will miss the rest of the turf season, but we can give him a run on the all-weather towards the end of the year, all being well. He's a promising horse, and in giving him the time he needs now, he could continue to run well next year and beyond. |

Don't eat fish. I never eat anything that can look back at me, whilst pointing an accusing fin.@Norpig wrote:Do you not eat fish Boncey? Are you vegan now?

Which is?

Don't taste anything like chicken, but, as Fin says, they're delicious.@Cajunboy wrote:Silly question, but do they taste like chicken?
