Those of you that follow my work closely will know I collect hip-hop CD albums from the 80's & 90's. To be honest it takes up a lot of my spare cash, I regularly pay £50+ for a CD.
However, I've recently seen a resurgence in vinyl to the point where major labels have now started pressing vinyl copies of new releases in much greater numbers.
And with the youth of today obsessed with all things MP3, my question is this: has the CD had its day? I have a huge collection, probably worth a fair bit, but it bothers me that the CD will be like Betamax before long and my collection worthless.
What do you think, is it time to sell my CDs?
