i remember penny crayon.

There was one where a girl wore a headband (not a cartoon) over her eyes and it had like flashing lights on it or something.  it wasn't a headband but it looked like one.  can't remember if it was itv or bbc.

also, Denver the last dinosaur, he's our friend and a whole lot more!

oh my god, i have just remembered.  Our school was chosen to audition for parts in an itv kids programme, it might have been josh's giants.  I was one of those chosen to go along with two other kids and i think i blew it for the whole school.  they asked us if we knew any nursery rhymes and when i chimed in the teddy bears picnic, which doesn't seem too bad, but it was the mum and dad are having a shag one.......................

yeah, sorry St Brendans!  My Bad!

I honestly don't remember seeing that. Remember Denver though.

My 2 year old watches Babaar every night on tiny pop. It's a new version obviously.

Tonight Matthew, Tex Tucker is Steve Zodiac!!

That'd be around 1960 by which time I'd outgrown the Watch With Mother shows and was looking for some real excitement. What I got was more a product of my vivid imagination rather than televisual stimulation - just had to ignore the strings and jerky movements and you could really be there.
Around that time I remember Torchy the Battery Boy, Champion the Wonder Horse (was that later?) Top Cat, Yogi Bear, Flintstones, Jetsons, Huckleberry Hound, Robin Hood, Bonanza, Lone Ranger, Mr Ed, Ivanhoe, Tom & Jerry etc and Ripcord which I still blame for my brother jumping out of the bedroom window holding an umbrella and breaking his hip - and me getting in trouble for "not stopping him".
Can't remember when we got a colour telly but most of these shows apart from the big American Hanna Barbera productions were in black and white anyway.
No wonder we didn't need toys.
