if he plays in central midfield that means at least Trotter will get pushed further down the pecking order.

Suspect they're having a look at him before a possible summer deal. Doubt he will see any first team action due to the restrictions imposed for loans.

If Bogdan/Lonergan resume goalkeeping duties, that frees up a spot for Lennon to tell Trotter to trot off.

Wanderers sign Liverpool midfielder Jordan Lussey on loan

Bolton Wanderers have completed the signing of midfielder Jordan Lussey from Liverpool.

The 20-year-old, who has represented England at youth level, moves to Macron Stadium on loan until the end of the current season.

Known for his box-to-box style, Lussey possesses both a strong passing range and a keen eye for goal when the opportunity arises.

A regular for Liverpool’s Under-21s, he joined the Reds in 2002, progressing through the club's youth academy before captaining them at Under-18s level.

Lussey was an unused substitute for Brendan Rodgers’ first team for their end-of-season friendly against Shamrock Rovers last year, while he also travelled with the Reds for their Europa League clash away at Besiktas last month.

Another loanee, another youngster highly rated by his club.

Is there any chance in hell that Lennon has been promised a wedge to build a team in the summer and is trialling upcoming talent with a view to actually buying them? For £15 million he could probably get half a team of the top young talent.

We haven't seen Slavchev yet so maybe that didn't work out.
