You need to be setting your sights a lot lower than the players that you've mentioned Biggie.

That doesn't mean crap players, it means players that have a future and that won't see you making huge losses.

Indeed. We will still be a big club to a lot of Championship players so we need to be looking at established players in that league, not 30-somethings wanting one last pay day.

I'd go for Adam Clayton at Leeds, he's been transfer listed by Warnock as can't agree a new contract, only 23 too, surely we could pick him up reasonably cheap and he must be better than Pratley.

How old is Danny Murphy, again, 35 or 36??? Even I wouldn't have chosen him for any team in the Championship - if anything he is in the twilight of his football carrer and possibly more suits League 1!

Good signing for Blackburn if they have picked up Murphy. Probably fancied a move back to the north west. I doubt he can play 46 games but even so.

been mentioning his name for well over a year, a top talent IMO.

Wouldn't want Murphy. By all accounts he can be very difficult in the dressing room, and the last thing OC would want is someone who not only stands up to him, but who actually knows what he's talking about.
