Another good call. I like corned beef with tomato or just brown sauce.

The vast majority of pre-packed sandwiches sold in UK supermarkets are produced by a company called Greencore Foods.

And I've never worked for them, so I can't offer any advice about whether or not they're safe to eat - sorry.

On balance though, given my recent experiences, I'd swerve 'em and make your own butties if I were you because all these types of factories employ the same sort of staff.

Foreign, cheap and not overly concerned with the rigorous adherence to stated hygiene practices.

Why do I have visions of the polish workers scratching their bums while they are assembling the sarnies?!

That's put me off for life, Eurgh!

To be fair to Percy Pole, in my experience, they're nice and clean and can speak reasonable English.

It's the Bulgarians and the Romanians that smell a bit funny and look like they could do with a good scrub.

Going by those criteria I wouldn't touch another slice of Warby's ever.

The way that bread is produced in bulk quantities in industrial plant bakeries means that 99% of it is never touched by human hands, so provided the kit is cleaned regularly, you should still be fine to enjoy a nice slice of Toastie for your breakfast.

Bread is still perfectly safe to eat, people.

Nothing to see here.

Move along......

Bread is the worst thing you can eat, ask any dietitian.

It's horrible stuff for the body to get rid of.

I wouldn't wipe my arse with a slice of that filth.
