You think that's tenuous?
One of my childhood favourites was Ripcord where a team of skydivers solved crimes and arrested baddies every week, always necessitating jumping out of an aeroplane. Every week.

If only he'd thought of wearing brown shoes and jumping out of an aeroplane as well, he could have gone down as one of the all time greatest sleuth-type gimmickmeister dudes.

Sadly, Diagnosis Murder' seems to have passed me by and I've watched my fair share of shite over the years - I'll try not to get too upset.

That Dick Van Dyke though, what a talented, versatile guy - does he remind you of anyone?

Yes, and we can throw in Sammy Davis Jnr, Roy Castle and Lionel Blair while we're about it.

What is it about talented and versatile entertainers that makes them so annoying? There's No Hiding Place. Evil or Very Mad

In fairness to Lionel, he did step in at short notice, under the alias of Lionel Bells-Palsy  to sponsor our Nigerian Scout. If memory serves me right, he had just opened the Scolds Bridle tearoom in Johnson Fold at the time.

Anyone remember "Do Not Adjust Your Set". A kind of mid sixties black and white show which in effect was Monty Python for kids. Starred Michael Palin, Eric Idle,Terry Jones and even a young David Jason. Guest band every week was the very wonderful Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band.

Always liked the syfy in the 60s as there was usually a morality tale involved and a twist. Outer limits, twilight zone, time tunnel were amongst my favourites.
