RIP. Born in Prestwich no less. I once watched her one woman show at the Palace theatre in Manchester and she was hilarious. Wasn't she married to the world famous magician, The Great Soprendo at one time or another?

Attended Bury Grammar. Was awarded a CBE. Some of her stand-up performances as well as Acorn Antiques and Dinner Ladies were outstanding. Loved one or two of her songs at the piano too. Borderline genius?? Certainly unique. Some of our very best talent has been wiped out this year. RIP
