Given how fast we're releasing players at the moment is there any reason to think we'll still have a development squad by then boggers? Very Happy

The soft bastards are clearly staying away from Chorley FC this coming pre-season, after recent embarrassments at Victory Park.

And you dare to call me a sh*t fan who hopes for the worst? Very Happy

Anyway, I'm actually going to go to the game at Victory Park, it's not all that far away from me and I'm on leave that week. Will you be there and if so will you be wearing a black and white stripy top? (Chorley's home kit for those nutters who might not know that) or will you pretend you still support BWFC after all? Smile

Does anyone know what the Tranmere connection is? Always seem to play them in pre-season.

Nope.

He got binned along with Barnes.

And then famously helped him to load his pushbike into the back of his (Barnes) car under the ever watchful eye of the press who took loads of photos and then posted them in time-laps form in various papers and made them look like Laurel & Hardy because it took them about ten minutes and several goes to get the front wheel in.

As recalled by McAteer on Soccer Sunday, or whatever it's called, a few years ago, amid much guffawing from Chris Kamara.

As for Tranmere, I dunno.

They're shit, we're now shit - it makes sense.

This game is apparently part of Warwick Rimmer's testimonial.

A good mix of fixtures IMO. Should provide a test for the whole squad.

Very nice of a Premier League club to accept a fixture and help boost the coffers up.

I'll never understand why we don't aim higher when trying to secure pre-season opposition. Playing shit like Tranmere is pointless.

Why aren't we leveraging relationships with Coyle and Holden in order to bring the Houston Dynamo over for a friendly?
Why not make it part of the deal when selling players to bigger clubs? For example, if Holding goes to Arsenal we get a pre-season game next year.

You were never going to reject the chance of playing against a bigger club.

Greatly appreciated - all contributions gratefully accepted.

We also have a number of players with Premiership experience you can have if you really want to help.....
