Random post,but,does anyone remember Beech Nut chewing gum? Very popular in the 70's.

My random post is about Lancashire peelers. 

Do you or anyone else still use them apart from me?

I have always found them fantastic and much better than those so called speed peelers.

We still use one.

I remember beech nut chewing gum (tho was the allowed it) and a Lancashire peeler the only way to prepare root veg

Yes. I remember it in the 60's.

I used to buy it out of a machine outside the newsagents at the top of Bennett's Lane.
