The Bolton Wanderers Supporters’ Trust are to waive annual subscriptions, The Bolton News understands.

It was decided at a board meeting on Thursday that existing members will not be asked to pay a further £10 in 2017 and that new subscribers will be only asked to pay a ‘joining fee’ to cover administration costs.

The Trust is looking to expand its membership in the new year and has now secured enough cash with sponsorship and fundraising initiatives not to ask its members to dig deep once again.

The decision will remain in place for the foreseeable future but could be reviewed at a later date.

Nice to see The ST making good use of other revenue streams to minimze the impact on it's members.

There was no subscription to pay the first time round.....if you joined the clubs Lifeline Lottery.

Clever move, the membership would have been decimated when it came to paying again and the ignominy of this has been avoided by this step.
