Any thoughts?

One relatively small point did strike me as a good example of how the media play soft with the Tories is the handling of the promise to scrap winter fuel payments to "better-off pensioners" with no definition of better-off. When Hunt was asked about this he waffled about deciding the level after the election but he also made it clear that it would be means-tested so it is paid only to the poorest who are most at risk of fuel poverty. In other words most of the current recipients will no longer get the winter fuel payment yet this is consistently presented as just affecting wealthier pensioners.

So if you are Labour wealthy means earning over £80k and for the Tories it means anyone not in poverty.

Launched in a Labour marginal, it has a superficial appearance of targeting Labour voters. But then the small print gives it away e.g. removing the cap on how much an elderly person has to pay for care. It's very clever because the headline stories are good and not many people will look at the detail of what's being proposed. It also quickly passes over the watering down of promises made at the last election that weren't delivered. A safe manifesto for the Tories which should be enough to see them over the line.

I don't see this to be a safe manifesto, i see it has a poor manifesto.

I think the social care policy that is meant to help the younger generation by levying costs on to the parents, actually takes money away instead of inheriting the true worth of the estate they will be left with just 100 k, this will not go down well with those of us who worked to be able to ensure are children are sorted.

The Triple lock going will most certainly turn off the grey vote.

Here's a good one unable to hit a single target on the deficit they have now said they will sort it by 2025. What further proof do you need to say that they are good with the economy is a crock of shit.
2010 National debt £902 billion
2017                     1790 Billion

Reaction to the proposed care tax is thought to be the main contributor to May losing vote share.
