it looks to me like they have (maybe due to relegation or cost) the 'premium TV' website - most premier league clubs had the same website for years.

It seems that it's just a new format provided by FLinteractive Ltd who provide these sites for 80 football league clubs. FLi are the media arm of the football league.
There are 3 formats and a few have gone for this one, but most are still with our previous format.

Still going to get annoying adverts not chosen by us, like the one with a picture of Rooney scoring a goal on the Adidas advert that lingered on our site for about 3 months!!

Finally got onto our updated site, can't say I am impressed but it beats the old design IMO.
Takes ages to load all the page up though.

The crux for me is, it wouldn't matter what the design is like, i will never use it.
The club doesn't provide a single thing that i can't get, better, elsewhere. So why would i?
They even have the cheek to ask you to pay for their substandard content.

I've changed my mind...I hate the site.
I try to look at an article (for example) Burnley Tickets Sold out and the web site takes me back to the home page...

What gets me is that they have an IT Director, Dave Atkinson, at the club, who possibly knows how to do a much better website, so why don't they use his expertise on designing a great site rather than using a substandard pre-format design.

I havent a clue why, buts the pre-format is very poor and you would think all the top teams would run & create their own site.
We dont even have an official iPhone app do we?

the club take all our monies for the games and what do they give back.... a substandard website, at least they could make the absolute dire Bolton-player free!

It must have been scrapped. We used to have one. It was just a vehicle for Wanderers Player content I suspect.
