Already Cook and Jennings are out and Balance (who has never batted at three for Yorkshire) is struggling.

Long way to go but first blood to SA.

The Captain and Stokes have brought the score on now to a better looking 188-4, we would be lost without these 2!

What an absolutely fantastic fightback after the early morning debacle. Top notch performance from Joe Root. Cometh the hour, cometh the man!

Wow, England crush SA by 211 runs - SA collapsing to 119 all out in their second innings (Moeen 6 for 53).

Well done England.

Congratulations Joe Root.

Good test in which both teams had periods in the ascendancy right up to the final innings. Thought England might have blown it during the second innings but it all worked out well in the end.
