I've just finished a great book by Mick Herron called Spook Street.

If you like contemporary spy fiction, it's a great read.

I'm not giving away too much by saying that it revolves around the idea that during the cold war, both sides created hordes of "genuine" fake identities by registering births, creating NI numbers and inventing people who never existed, just so they could wheel them out and use them as disposable assets in times of crisis.

A fascinating notion but a bit far fetched, surely?

Who in their right mind would put all that effort in to create fictitious people and then pretend they were real....?

Farce, so predictable.

I had a sporting bet on McGregor to win in the first round,on the basis that he might get lucky.
In reality,I suppose the chances of the best ever defensive boxer getting tagged by a novice,were pretty slim.
But a farce is right.

He did better than I thought though, I think Mayweather dragged it out for as long as he could.

And just as i thought this season couldn't any worse this happens
