What a race but not so good for me.

I put £40 on 11/2 handicap betting for Bolt to win by:

Blake 0.22
Spearman 0.50
Lemaitre 0.52
Martina 0.52
Weir 0.54
Jobodare 0.95
Quinonez 0.95

Was let down by 0.02 because of Weir coming 3rd.

Gutted was going to get my home and away shirt tomorrow.

All is not lost. I have found a really nice Neighbours shirt for you to get instead.

Men run round a bit of the soon to be West Ham pitch. What a magnificent spectacle. It doesn't come much better than this.

It's possible to make just about any significant achievement sound mundane by describing it in a glum tone and negative lexis.

'Men get accelerated into the air by burning off a load of synthesised fossil fuel, and end up fannying around on a barren rock' - the moon landings 1969.

'A whining black prisoner won't sign some bits of paper so the authorities leave him to rot. Eventually they let him out anyway, and there's a bit of a hoo-hah about it.' - Nelson Mandela walks free 1990.

'A television crew watches a load of dirty, sweaty men being dragged out of a hole in the ground in a vertical bathtub' - rescue of Chilean miners 2010.

Living in Jamaica did you have some inside info which to could have shared?

I actually predicted Bolts time of 19.32 before the race. Shame I never put a bet on.

I predicted that Bernard would predict Bolt to run 19.32 seconds. Shame I didn't put a bet on it. I did put £100 on Bernard being gay though.

I had my eyes closed and was thinking of women when I bummed you that time in Kirkby Lonsdale. It doesn't make me gay!

I hate the way you have made that romantic moment sound so sordid.

Annoying isn't it. Rolling Eyes

Actually I did - I knew that Warren Weir was faster than Spearman, Martina and Lemaitre. He iswas largely unknown outside of Jamaica prior to the Olympics, however.
