Here he is scoring against England!

On a free, only 33 - on his way to - wait for it....

Bury!

Bury have signed Northern Ireland striker David Healy on a 12-month deal.

The 33-year-old was a free agent after leaving Rangers in the summer and had recently approached former club Preston in the hope of earning a contract.

Healy is his country's record goalscorer, having scored 35 times in 93 senior international appearances.

Healy has scored 98 goals for nine clubs during his career.

He approached Preston manager Graham Westley last week in the hope of earning a contract at Deepdale.

But after careful consideration, Westley decided against offering a deal to the former Manchester United trainee.

Healy's departure from North End in 2004, and his celebrations when scoring against them for Leeds shortly afterwards, soured relations between himself and many Preston supporters.
