Probably long overdue, and I think more will follow. However, given the mindset of a large proportion of neanderthal supporters, they'll face a difficult baptism.
Hopefully, they'll get the full backing of the football authorities, and all decent supporters.

It's got to happen someday but he'll be a brave man to come out now. As boncey says he will be subjected to a lot of abuse from the stands. I personally don't care if a player is gay or anything else as long as he can play and gives his all to the team.

Why does he have to make a big thing of it? Does he expect us all to say well done ? Its not a notifiable disease, so why doesn't he just let his colleagues and team mates know and leave it at that?

Well, he's closed his twitter account. I reckon it was a fake account, in an attempt to tempt out some real gay players. Hasn't worked.
