Wanderers should have an unchanged squad to pick from for tomorrow’s trip to Peterborough United.

Midfielder Sonny Graham picked up some bruising in the midweek defeat at Accrington but Keith Hill was optimistic he would have options as his side travelled down to the ABAX Stadium.

“I’m mindful of the distance that some of the players are covering, so rest and recovery is important, but I’m looking at choosing between 16,” he said.

“There were a few scrapes after the other night but the one player who was worst off, and we’ll keep an eye on, played the 90 minutes so it shouldn’t be anything to worry about.”

It is understood that defenders Liam Edwards and Joe Bunney and midfielder Will Buckley have returned to light training after a long-term injuries but will not be rushed back into action immediately.

Hill will be looking to get one over on his former Wrexham team-mate Darren Ferguson tomorrow – and admires the way Peterborough have invested in the transfer market in recent seasons.

“As football friends go, Darren is definitely a good one. I am not on the phone to him all the time but we’ve spoken about players, offered advice etc, and we share the same sort of values in recruitment.

“He and Peterborough are really ambitious in the transfer market and I love it.

“They go and put top dollar money down on recruiting players, develop them and sell them for massive money. The business side of the club is brilliant.

“Darragh MacAnthony is doing everything he can to get that club promoted and I have got a lot of time for that club.”
