Site Revamp

Let's be honest, despite this being a Bolton Wanderers forum there is actually very little BWFC talk. Half the regular posters haven't seen a live Bolton game since 1978.

And with numbers dwindling to a hardcore few, it's time we did something to attract new posters. Clearly the BWFC name isn't attracting new blood so it's time we dropped the BWFC bit and and became Nuts about something else.

Clearly we could go big and change to 'Man Utd Nuts' or 'Taylor Swift Nuts' but that would alienate the few posters we do have so we need to go with something that interests the regulars.

I've fed the data from all the threads & posts in the last 12 months into my Commodore 64 and it has come up with the top 5 topics over that time.

1. Conservative Party (Tory Nuts)
2. Slippers (Slipper Nuts?)
3. Blow Jobs (Suck My Nuts?)
4. Dale Vince (Vince Nuts?)
5. Wigan Athletic FC (Wigan Nuts?)

So do you agree we need to change the focus of the site? And which is your favourite from the options above?

I agree 100 percent. If it was changed to be a News discussion site it would attract more. News to incorporate politics.
Change the name to Current News Nuts or similar.
Make small changes, observe, and keep tweeking from there.
Do tests on other topics and see over time if it is effective

The first option is simply a statement of fact, so shouldn't count.

The site is perfect as it is. leave it alone! 

Where else can you get such scintillating conversations such as as what you had for your tea (need to resurrect that thread) and Bonceys meanderings on slippers, first aid and Brucie to name but a few of the exciting topics covered.

Where else can you see and read a daily battle between a site owner and his arch nemesis until he's banned on a regular basis? It leaves us regulars at the edge of our seats waiting for the next instalment of one upmanship.

How about Nuts in May in memory of the last time we actually won summat.

Some also might remember the:

'Light-hearted tale about a possessive husband who takes his timorous wife on a camping holiday. His behaviour towards her becomes increasingly domineering and eventually he snaps when she befriends a fellow backpacker'.


Haven't heard much from Mrs Dale for some time. I wonder if she's keeping a diary like Mrs Swire.
