Dont shoot the messenger.

So, league one next season - anyone looking forward to it? we will get to play such world powerhouses (again) like Tranmere Rovers and Crawley town...

Thats if we dont go bankrupt obviously...

seriously... have you read that article in the BEN?

“I’ll analyse and see if there’s anything more I could have done as manager in the build up to the game. - Retrospective football management must be the way forward.

Coyle accepts that results do not add weight to his own claim and vowed
to do some “soul searching” in an effort to see if the inadequacies of
recent performances could be corrected on the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] field.
- about 12 months to late this mate.

“It’s not something I’m going to run from,” - is this a moral thing, or more to do with the potential loss of a 6 figure salary?
“I’ll analyse and see if there’s anything more I could have done as manager in the build up to the game.- can you do this on your own time please? your job is to worry about formations and tactics BEFORE the game, not after it!

How can conceding a 90th minute goal against Millwall be the worst moment of his career. Surely getting relegated would be worse.

Whilst he's analysing what else he could have done in preparation for the game he might want to throw into the mix..

* consolidating the defence

* exploring/experimenting with other players

* exploring/experimenting with other systems

* practicing penalties

* keeping players like Greg Wylde around to see if there's a system that would allow us to utilise his skills in a squad rotation

Plenty to analyse IMO.

The apparent non decision by the board gives them about as much credibillity as the X Factor judges.

Louis Walsh next manager anyone?

“I’ll analyse and see if there’s anything more I could have done as manager in the build up to the game." is probably one of the best examples of Coyle's stupidity.

First we all know that Coyle is incapable of analysing anything or otherwise he might have noticed that Mears is shit, Mavies is not a winger, SKD is a bit limited these days, Sordell is good enough for an England squad but apparently not good enough to warm a subs bench here, etc, etc.

Second WTF is he doing now if he isn't already doing this.

Third there is the implied "I do everything right then the players and the ref ruin it all" attitude.

Definitely the most depressing football news in some time.

One of the papers are running with a story that Mick Mac is set to be our next manager.

I wouldn't take what the BEN says in this article as gospel just yet.

The mick story is in the mail.

with the line "Gartside knows McCarthy would be a popular choice" urrrrrr. Popular in the way you'd rather break both your legs than have them removed i suppose.

I reckon Garty was being facetious with that remark.

So I wonder if the "Coyle is staying" story is the dreaded vote of confidence?

Having a meeting with PG and ED today apparantly, I think it's going to be ''we will give you so many games to turn it around or your out''

Either that or we may see an announcement in teh coming hours that he has been put on gardening leave.

It's all our fault for knowing sod all about football.

Let's analyse and see if there’s anything more we could have done as supporters in the build up to the game.

Catch22 .... if the board gives OC another 10 games for example ....we will be hoovering close to the bottom three with too many games to make up for the next manager. That new boss will not have the time to make changes..... overall I think we are fooked !!!!

Surely, whether he's going or staying, the club should be making a statement baring in mind what a shocking week it's been to add to what was already a disappointing start to the season.

Thing is I thought that he'd had the ultimatum a few weeks ago.
